Clerk Martinez's Farewell Message

Dear Esteemed Residents of Cook County,

As I prepare to step down from my role as Clerk, I want to take a moment to express my deep gratitude and pride for all we have accomplished together. Serving this community full of vibrant constituents has been one of the greatest honors of my life. I leave with a profound sense of fulfillment, knowing that every step we took, every challenge we faced, and every milestone we achieved was a collective effort—reflecting the commitment of all of you.

From my very first day in this position, my mission was to amplify the voices of the vulnerable and ensure that every resident felt seen, heard, and served with dignity. Together, we turned that vision into reality. The impact of this office's work can be felt in the lives of the communities we touched, the policies we improved, and the innovative changes we implemented.

Your engagement and support have given me the strength to lead with conviction. I am endlessly inspired by this community's resilience and spirit. To everyone who has joined me on this journey, I offer my deepest thanks. Your belief in me and in our shared mission has been the heartbeat of this office.

As we approach the holiday season, I wish each of you a time of harmony, joy, and reflection. Cherish the moments with your loved ones, take pride in your contributions to our community, and know that you have made a lasting difference.

While my service as Clerk is coming to an end, my respect and admiration for this community will never waver. I leave with my head held high, proud of what we have accomplished. Thank you for the privilege of serving you. I will carry the memories and accomplishments of this chapter in my heart forever.
